A few weeks ago, I was invited to the Bali themed Night Market in Chelsea, hosted by none other than Mr. John Hardy himself. Being an innovator in the jewelry game, you can always see the thought and craftsmanship in each piece that he designs. The Adwoa Aboah x John Hardy 2018 collab shines as bright as the gold woven chains, beautifully crafted earrings and body jewelry that accentuates your curves. This collection shows how unique and authentic ones soul can be when they bring their creations to life. When looking at these pieces, you can feel the sensuality and beauty behind each hand crafted piece. It is amazing to see fellow models using their voices to bring diversity to the fashion industry.
John Hardy incorporated his middle eastern roots by enchanting us with beautiful tropical backdrops, wooden baskets and warm spices so colorful reflecting the warm hued colors of the collection. I was wowed by so many of the intricate detailed pieces that were on display. There was so much powerful yet soothing energy throughout the night, I could just smile and feel at ease. It also gave me a bit of encouragement behind my hat line. That there are still women in this industry, that looks just like me who want to bring a change to such a colorful world.
All black everything, with just a bit of shimmer. For any one who knows me, I love a great charity event. Yes although there may be tasty finger sandwiches and unlimited mimosas, looking around a room filled with people who believes in the rights of others give me goosebumps every time. I would like to thank Saks Fifth Avenue for always putting their best foot forward in humanitarianism. The Key to the Cure, is a foundation that raises money for cancer research and brings awareness to women on how to keep track of their health. As a huge advocate for the fight against breast cancer, I was so honored to attend this event on behalf of many women.
