Before NYFW can fully commence, the annual amfAR Gala New York has always been the unofficial kick starter of the February festivities. So many glammed celebs, put on their best and most daring gowns to represent at the charitable event. Giving back never looked so good! Surrounded by so many ground breaking people, it reassures me that I am on the journey I need to be on. Being able to help bring awareness to HIV : AIDs treatment and support of those affected by the disease brings me joy.

Award presenters consisted of fashion icons Michelle Rodriguez, Kim Kardashian and Karolina Kurkova. There were so many legendary photographers and amfAr Ambassadors there in support of the cause. Many of which who were honored for their longstanding commitment to the fight against AIDS. The entertainment of the night consisted of  The Chainsmokers featuring Kelsea Ballerini, Parson James and Caroline Vreeland, raising over $1.7 million for amfAR’s lifesaving research programs! Isn’t that insane!
